Chōjun Miyagi (宮城 長順 Miyagi Chōjun?, 25 April 1888—8 Oktober 1953) adalah seorang artis bela diri Okinawa yang mendirikan sekolah karate Goju-ryu yang mencampur pengaruh Okinawa dan Tiongkok.

Kehidupan awal dan pembelajaran[sunting | sunting sumber]

Miyagi lahir di Higashimachi, Naha, Okinawa pada 25 April 1888. Miyagi mulai mempelajari Karate-do pada usia sembilan tahun (atau empat belas tahun). Ia pertama kali mempelajari seni bela diri dari Ryuko Aragaki, yang kemudian memperkenalkannya dengan Kanryo Higashionna (Higaonna Kanryō) ketika Miyagi berusia 14 tahun.
